Tan Yuanyong was another person in Kaili County that once became deprived at the crossroad of life because of drugs and missed the opportunity for family, friendship, and love. But under the aid and support of the policemen of the anti-drug detachment of the Public Security Bureau and the police station, he once again pulled himself together, started his own family, and took the lead to publicize the “Sunshine Project” with his own experience. In October 2010, the rehabilitated Tan Yuanyong was hired as a special correspondent for the magazine China Security and Legal System. He is now the person in charge of the news gathering research workstation of the magazine in Qiandongnan Prefecture. Tan published 32 articles and six research articles on China Legal News, China Security and Legal System, and other periodicals, and obtained the reporter qualification certificate issued by the General Administration of Press and Publication of the PRC.
Wu Guanglin from Xinxing Town, Cengong County was also once a drug addict. After successful drug rehabilitation, he embarked on the road of entrepreneurship and wealth through hardships. Supported and guaranteed by the County Credit Union for 40,000 yuan of loans, Wu started an agency point for the mobile communications company and earned more than 80,000 yuan in the first year by virtue of an all-out pioneering spirit. For further entrepreneurship, he bought a taxi and started taxi business. Wu Guanglin has now built a small western-style house and three front shops and bought a small saloon car last year.

After drug rehabilitation, Tang Rongfu from Shaoba Village of Changji Township of Sansui County started his own electronics processing company in Guangdong Province through years of hard effort and sells the finished products to overseas. When Tang Rongfu learned that Sansui Sunshine Electronics Factory, established by Sansui County for the concentrated job placement of the community-based drug detox and rehab persons, has stopped production, Tang immediately invested and established a processing plant to produce game handles in April 2012 when he returned home to visit relatives. The factory provided job placement for 23 community-based drug rehabilitation persons. During the training stage, the factory pays 800 yuan salary and 100 yuan living allowance per capita. When the workers become skillful after the training stage, the monthly salary of the employee can reach up to 1,500 yuan according to the piece-work system.
