On May 12, 2015, the press conference for the 2nd Cross-Strait Tea Culture Summit and the 14th China Pu'er Tea Festival was held in Kunming city. More than 40 media organizations and over 50 journalists attended the press conference.

At the press conference, the detailed activities and the progress of preparatory work concerning the Summit and the Pu'er Tea Festival were revealed. Meanwhile, the large cultural documentary Holy Pu'er and the theme song Missing for applying to be listed in the World Cultural Heritage were also introduced and displayed.

Sponsored by China Academy of Culture Limited, Pu'er People's Government and Institute for Advanced Study of the Humanities and Religion under Beijing Normal University, the 2nd Cross-strait Tea Culture Summit and the 14th China Pu'er Tea Festival is to be held in Pu'er from May 23 to 25, 2015.

This event will turn out to be a magnificent event to carry forward the time-honored Chinese tea culture and promote the exchange and cooperation among the tea industry by cross-strait joint efforts, as well as a grand gathering for scholars and experts, farmers and businessmen in the tea industry.

It will also give a major impetus to Pu'er tea culture, facilitate the inclusion of the Ancient Tea Plantations of Jingmai Mountain in Pu'er in the World Cultural Heritage List, help popularize the scientific and innovative achievements made in Pu'er tea, promote the in-depth exchanges in the tea industry, and deepen economic and trade cooperation and development in Pu'er.

The Pu'er Tea Festival, themed with "Carrying Forward and Protecting Tea Culture in Holy Pu'er --World Tea Resource", consists of the 2nd Cross-strait Tea Culture Summit, Pu'er tea processing and tea fight competitions, Pu'er Tea Products Trade Fair and Pu'er Tea Specialty Products Trade Fair, events supporting Pu'er Ancient Tea Plantations of Jingmai Mountain's Application to be listed in the World Cultural Heritage, release of the magnificent large cultural documentary Holy Pu'er and the intoxicating theme song Missing, as well as the simple and solemn traditional sacrifice of "tea ancestor" ceremony and the Pristine Wa Nationality dance and song show Wa Tribe Debuts and other activities.

Currently, preparations for the summit and the Pu'er Tea Festival are underway. Key activities including summits, competitions, investment attraction are orderly pushed forward. Remarkable achievements have also been made in excavating and promoting traditional sacrifice of "tea ancestor" ceremonies and cultural programs. Meanwhile, the guest invitation and publicity work have been in full swing.
