According to Pu'er Daily, the Publicity Department of the Provincial Party Committee of Yunnan convened a meeting about work on information about public opinion in Pu'er on April 21, 2015. The Publicity Departments of the Municipal Party Committee of Pu'er and of the County Party Committee of Lancang County were named as "Units of Excellence in Work on Information about Public Opinion of 2014."

Deputy Director Cai Chunsheng of the Publicity Department attended the meeting and delivered a speech, in which he summarized the new results and contributions that had been achieved or made in work on information about public opinion in 2014 and gave clear instructions on what to do next in such work and how to do it.

Pu'er achieved excellent results in doing such work in 2014. In fact, it ranked the 1st in the province in terms of the amount of information submitted and the amount of information accepted for use. The Publicity Departments of the Municipal Party Committee of Pu'er and of the County Party Committee of Lancang County were rated as "Units of Excellence in Work on Information about Public Opinion of 2014."
