Airbus A380 applied more composite material, improved aerodynamic performance, and used the new-generation jet engines, wings and landing gears, all contributing to lower weight, less fuel consumption and less emission. A380 has a similar fuel efficiency to a family car if the fuel consumption is broken down to each passenger and the mileage each one covers.
