A private school principal in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, has been fired over a child abuse case, according to the local educational department.
The abuse was confirmed by the education department of the city's Beitang district, after a primary school boy's parent told local media that his child was forced to take off his pants and stand still for punishment.
The education department has ordered the school to dismiss the teacher, and to provide psychological counseling to the victim.
The school, which recruits students from grades 1 to 9, has also been asked to take measures to rectify its mistakes.
