BEIJING, June 8 (ChinaMil) -- Approved by Xi Jinping, chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the General Political Department (GPD) of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) held a meeting on the discussion of carrying out political work centering on the goal of building a powerful military on June 6, 2013 in Beijing.
Xu Qiliang, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and vice chairman of the CMC, attended and addressed the meeting. Zhang Yang, member of the CMC and director of the GPD of the PLA, chaired the meeting.
Jia Ting’an and Du Jincai, deputy directors of the GPD of the PLA, Cen Xu and Cui Changjun, assistants to the director of the GPD of the PLA, deputy political commissars or directors of political departments of major organizations stationed in Beijing, and leaders from the General Office of the CMC were present at the meeting.
