One hundred teenagers from 20 countries will spend 10 days together in Shanghai at an international interactive camp to learn about Chinese and Shanghai cultures and enhance mutual understanding and friendship.

The teenagers, from such countries as Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Peru, Canada and South Korea, will learn Chinese language, calligraphy, how to make Chinese knots and watch lion dances during the annual camp, which is hosted by the Shanghai People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Shanghai Youth Federation. The camp will take place from Wednesday through July 26.

They will also visit the city’s landmarks, such as the Oriental Pearl Tower in Pudong financial district and Shanghai International Automobile City, and spend one day with local families to experience the Shanghai lifestyle.
