LJUBLJANA, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Visiting French Minister for European Affairs Thierry Repentin said here on Tuesday that Slovenia has ability to overcome its financial and economic crisis.
Repentin made the remarks when Slovenian Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec briefed him the Slovenian government's latest plan to shake off crisis, said a press release from the Foreign Ministry.
During their talks, both Erjavec and Repentin agreed to deepen strategic partnership between the two countries.
Slovenia and France signed in March 2011 a strategic cooperation partnership agreement aimed to strengthen political, economic and other ties between them.
Repentin's visit follows Slovenian President Borut Pahor's visit to Paris in April.
The French minister also had talks with Slovenian Parliament Speaker Janko Veber, according to the press release.
