Gold Museum, Zhaoyuan

As well as a range of informative displays about the most valuable of metals, Zhaoyuan's Gold Museum has gone one step further by recreating the mining experience. Set in a former gold mine, the museum gives visitors a real feel for mining life during the Song Dynasty, when trade boomed in the region.
