Village library, Tengchong

Located in the ancient town of Heshun, the biggest village library in China is an intriguing museum as well as a classroom for the locals. Literature lovers can lose themselves in a collection of around 70,000 books, including more than 10,000 ancient manuscripts and other rare editions. The works of cultural gurus such as Hu Shi, Xiong Qinglai, Liao Chengzhi and Li Shizeng are all on display.
