Right-wing forces lead Japan into the abyss (2)

(People's Daily Online)

16:50, November 19, 2012

The attitude of Japan fit in exactly with the wishes of the right-wingers and the extremely right-wing standard-bearer Ishihara soon set up the “Party of Sun” on Nov. 13, which was dubbed the “Party of Sunset” by Japanese media and has strong anti-China energy.

It can be seen from the program of the “Party of Sun.” First, it urged Japan to amend Japanese Constitution, expand arms and prepare for a war to compete with China militarily. Second. It emphasized to “strengthen the force of giving a voice” in the international community to challenge China. Third, Ishihara also clamored to promote the establishment of facilities on the Diaoyu Islands. The flagrant provocation will not only further deteriorate China-Japan relations but also push the two countries to the brink of war.

At the time when Japanese economy remains in the doldrums and its ranking of world economy is falling, the proposals of the sunset right-wing political party led by Ishihara will only scare away the public and the right-leaning Japanese leaders can only damage the overseas market of Japan, leading Japanese economy to the abyss.
