Bright Food signs agreement with WWF on strategic cooperation in "Water Stewardship Innovation"

To speed up the implementation of the global water stewardship innovation strategy in China, and further implement Shanghai's strategy of "innovation drive and transformation development", the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), the Shanghai Society of Food Science (SSFS), Bright Food (Group) Co., Ltd. (Bright Food) and Bright Dairy & Food Co., Ltd. (Bright Dairy) signed a strategic cooperation agreement on March 12. With focus on "water stewardship innovation", the four parties will give full play to respective advantages in such aspects as ecological concept, resource integration, economic clout and brand influence, make collaborative innovation, take the lead to promote the upgrading and development of water stewardship innovation in Shanghai's food industry, and promote enterprises' transformation in traditional water-saving and emission reduction, the water footprint stewardship of the industry chain and the mitigation of water risk, and strive to establish an industrial standard for China's dairy water footprint.

At the ceremony, Cao Shumin, President of Bright Food Group said, guided by the concept of "globalization, open innovation, industry service and green development", the cooperation will effectively integrate superior international network resources to create a cooperative platform for water stewardship and technical innovation in the green industry chain. To enterprises, good water means good products and problematic water leads to inferior products, thus food enterprises must fundamentally resolve the problem of food safety. The strategic cooperation will guide the industry chain in developing towards the direction of water-friendly products and processes, and advance enterprises' researches on innovation in ecological, efficient and recycling technologies and the construction and demonstration of their achievement industrialization.

Vice President Zhang Hanqiang signed the agreement on behalf of Bright Food Group. Pan Yingjie, Chairman of SSFS; WWF International Director General Marco Lambertini and Guo Benheng, President of Bright Dairy delivered speeches respectively. Leaders including Ma Xingfa, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality and Chen Deming, sub-inspector of the Shanghai Municipal Agricultural Commission were present.
