From June 4 to 6, Chairman of Bright Food Group Lv Yongjie, in the company of Vice President of the said Group Mr. Ge Junjie and the directors of the Group’s Overseas Business Department, visited the enterprises in Australia that have established cooperative relations with Shanghai Dairy Group. During his visit, the chairman also listened to the specific report made by the people concerned of Shanghai Dairy Group, who accompanied the chairman on the whole trip, on the latter’s overseas strategic layout and arrangements.

On the night of June 4, Chairman Lv Yongjie attended the welcoming dinner party jointly hosted by ANZ Bank, the largest banking group in Australia, and the Australia China Business Council (ACBC). Mr. John McVeigh, Queensland’s agriculture minister who was also present at the dinner party, discussed and exchanged views with Chairman Lv on the possibility of Bright Food Group’s presence in Queensland.

On June 5 and 6, Chairman Lv and his party visited ACC, an Australian company which is partnering with Shanghai Dairy Group in the production of beef, including its flagship slaughter factory in Brisbane and its large-scale feedlot in Cannon Hill. ACC is the third largest beef producer in Australia, with an annual slaughtering capacity of 350,000 heads and an annual breeding capacity of 500,000 heads. In addition, the company is subject to the nation’s most rigorous food safety management and control system and quality traceability system. With its products sold all over Australia and imported to more than 40 countries, ACC is the most advanced beef producer in Australia. After his visit, Chairman Lv listened to the report of Shanghai Dairy Group on its main strategic vision and specific strategies in Australia’s cow, beef cattle and fodder, and sang high praise for what the latter has done in this aspect.

“As a professional animal husbandry enterprise under Bright Food Group, Shanghai Dairy Group should set an example for others in its moves towards agricultural internationalization and its steps of going global, and make use of its internationally advantageous resources in agriculture with a view to developing competitiveness for its future rapid development in China while making overseas arrangements in advance in food development, food safety, and construction of industry chain,” said Chairman Lv. “At the same time, Shanghai Dairy Group should join forces with other enterprises under Bright Food Group to give fuller play to the advantages of the whole group.” He added.

Vice President Ge Junjie said, cow, beef cattle, and fodder are three major industries, especially the beef cattle industry which is an important part of the future growth of Bright Food Group and where the Group enjoys great potentials. Shanghai Dairy Group should be careful in selecting partners, work out feasible plans for cooperation, find proper avenues and carry out the projects under cooperation and investment, thus opening a new chapter for the agricultural internationalization of Bright Food Group.
