KATHMANDU, April 10 (Xinhua) -- Former Nepalese prime minister and leader of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda will seek economic aid during his upcoming visit to China this weekend.
He told Nepalese businessmen Wednesday that he will put forward a proposal to Chinese leadership to support economic prosperity in Nepal.
Addressing annual meeting of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries, Prachanda said he does not have political issues high on the agenda in his visit to China except seeking new avenues of economic support.
"Nepalese have high aspirations for economic prosperity and uplifting the living standards and now I will focus on these areas in my visit to China," said Prachanda. "After visiting China, I will possibly visit India as well and seek similar support from that country."
"We can have a better future for the next generation in Nepal and for this we must be ready for three-way partnership involving Nepal, China and India in the economic areas," he said.
