SHANGHAI, May 31 (Xinhua) -- Police in Shanghai are investigating a local teacher who is allegedly to have scratched seven children's arms with a scissor.
Police received a phone call at noon on Friday saying that a staffer surnamed Sun in a privately funded kindergarten in Jiading District cut a child's arm with a scissor, according to a statement from Shanghai police authorities.
An immediate investigation launched after the call found that Sun had scratched the arms of seven children's because they were not sitting up straight in class on Thursday morning. One of the children needed two stitches for the injury.
Both Sun and the kindergarten's manager have been put under police custody.
Further investigation into the incident is still under way.
