JINAN, May 28 (Xinhua) -- Rescuers have not yet found the miner who went missing in a mine flood five days ago in Zhangqiu, east China's Shandong Province, the local government confirmed Tuesday.
"But the search won't stop until we find him," said an official with the press office under the municipal government of Jinan, which administers Zhangqiu.
The flood, which killed nine others, was caused by illegal mining.
The municipal government of Jinan set up a team on Tuesday to conduct a "full investigation" into the accident, according to the press office.
The flood occurred around 9 a.m. on May 23 at a mine in Zhangqiu. The mine's owner and other people involved in the incident have been detained by police.
