COPENHAGEN, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- The upcoming 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) is as important as U.S. presidential election for the world, and Denmark expects more positive development of the Sino-EU relationship after the congress, said Danish Minister for European Affairs Nicolaj Wammen in a recent interview.
"In my point of view, the CPC congress is as important as the ongoing U.S. presidential election," Wammen told Xinhua on Tuesday at the international press center of Copenhagen.
He pointed that the upcoming 18th National CPC Congress has drawn wide attention both in China and overseas, as the congress will have significant influence in the world.
"I am confident that we will see a positive development in the Sino-EU relationship in the future," said Wammen, when asked about his expectations about the 18th National CPC Congress.
"It is in the interests of both EU and China to have a strong partnership where we can work towards the reciprocal results. I hope that we will see the progress in the coming years," Wammen added.
