First off, let’s take a look at the Xinjiang International Folk Dance Festival, which has raised its curtain in Urumqi, capital of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. For its 3rd year, the festival is attracting celebrated folk dance troupes from around the world, all eager to impress the audience with their unique moves.
The dance extravaganza starts with a show by artists from Xinjiang.
Based on a real-life story, the show is about a Uygur woman who adopted 10 children from different ethnic groups, and raised them up all by herself.
"The Uygur woman is great. She overcomes so many difficulties to raise the ten children. It’s really a heart-warming story."
