IAAF World Challenge Beijing to Start on May 21

The press conference for the International Association of Athletics Federations World Challenge Beijing takes place in the National Stadium on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, in Beijing. The World Challenge will be in the National Stadium on May 21. (CRIENGLISH)

Beijing sports authority held a press conference Tuesday announcing that the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Challenge Beijing will be held at the National Stadium, also known as the Bird's Nest on May 21.

Li Jinkang, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports, explained further. "According to the requirements of the IAAF, an IAAF World Championships in Athletics (WCA) host city has the experience to host events like the world-challenge games."
