IAAF World Challenge Beijing to Start on May 21 (2)

Beijing won the bid to host the 2015 IAAF WCA in 2010, and accordingly it will organize the world challenge games in 2013 and 2014 respectively.

As for whether Beijing can have its own fixed international athletic league, like the Shanghai Diamond League, Li said: "I believe it will be possible for Beijing to host athletic events like the Shanghai Diamond League only if we host the 2015 WAC successfully."

Ninety-nine Chinese athletes will participate in the event. Three-hundred volunteers will be selected from universities to help service it.
