When Emerson Group was deciding where to establish its first research-based company in west central China, the choice was obvious.
Executives of the company, Emerson Network Power (Xi’an) Co Ltd, said that the Xi’an High-Tech Industries Zone was an ideal place for a regional base to research emerging technology.
“(The zone) has not only provided us with a good environment for business operations but also given us great support in terms of comprehensive services, such as preferential policies, personnel recruitment and management,” said Wang Mengteng, the company’s vice-president.
This year, the company will continue to cooperate with the zone’s administrative committee and expect to make progress together, he added.
Founded in 2006, Emerson Network Power (Xi’an) Co Ltd employs nearly 600 technicians and engineers. It has developed into one of the most important product R&D facilities of its parent company, making it an integral part of Emerson Group’s global development strategy.
Research and business merge seamlessly at the facility thanks to an advanced operational model adopted by a professional management team.
With its industry-leading digital emulation systems as well as professional laboratories and performance-testing rooms, the company has made breakthroughs in such technologies as efficient uninterruptible power supplies, or UPS, as well as electrical energy conversion, wind power generation, and energy-saving precision temperature and humidity control systems for data centers.
“It is always committed to addressing the fast-changing business environment with which our customers are confronted and to becoming their sole choice for integrated network power solutions incorporating our state-of-the-art technologies,” said Wang.
In 2012, the company developed several hundred different UPS and power-distribution products that met the highest standards of reliability. These products have helped to meet a growing demand among customers for advanced power security solutions.
