A farmer named Zhang Yucheng has registered China’s first micro-enterprise family farm in the Three Gorges reservoir region. According to the Industrial and Commercial Bureau in Wanzhou district of Chongqing municipality, he got the enterprise license in February.
The family farm plants 1.3 hectare of vegetables with farmyard manure. Two farming machines, one transport cart, and five farm employees have met the preliminary industrial standard of micro-enterprise.
Wanzhou Industrial and Commercial Bureau allowed use of the word “farm” in the enterprise’s name. What’s more, the farmer’s name has been approved to be used in the farm’s name.
This farm is engaged in cultivation and sales of 10 kinds of green vegetables like asparagus lettuce, radish, naked oats, etc. Therefore, the industrial and commercial bureau has supported Zhang’s license application and allocated 2,000 yuan as subsidy.
The family farm concept first appeared in the No.1 document of the central government in 2013. The Zhang Yuze Organic Vegetable Farm in Chongqing’s Wanzhou district is China’s first micro-enterprise family farm with license registered at industrial and commercial sectors.
