WASHINGTON, July 18 (Xinhua) -- A small plane crashed into a mobile home Thursday morning in Anne Arundel County, Maryland in the United States, local media reported.
The plane hit a home on South Bruce Street near Brock Bridge Road, according to WJLA-TV. Officials said the pilot was conscious and alert when first responders arrived, and that he was taken to a nearby trauma center for treatment of undisclosed injuries. No one on the ground was injured in the crash.
An Federal Aviation Administration official said the plane, a Beechwood BE-23 aircraft, had just taken off from Suburban Airport, a public airfield. There's no immediate word as to why the plane went down.
TV images showed the plane was partially split into two next to a mobile home.
