The rehabilitated are moved by his human-based management and have a sense of belonging in Henghui. One of them developed a new positioning technique applicable to automatic covering machine which has saved considerable costs in production.

Recently, district officials introduced several new clients to Liu Bo, who is now planning to expand the scale of production very excitedly. He said he must and is obliged to assume more social responsibilities and do a good job in the “Sunshine Project” in response to so many policy preferences on land acquisition and taxation conferred to him by the Party committee and government of the district. The area of the new plant will goes beyond 4,000㎡,by which Liu Bo proposes to recruit 500 workers from the rehabilitated group within three years. “One more person I recruit means less insecurity in society, the most valuable fruit for my participation in the project is that they can truly reintegrate into the society and completely get rid of drugs” added Liu Bo. On the same day of this interview, a 37-year-old worker named Chen Xi was handing wedding candies to people to celebrate his marriage ahead. He and his 44-year-old fiancée are both used to be drug users and fall in love during the period they are working together in the plant.
It is said Chen Xi has entered the society ever since he dropped out of school when he was 12. He was put into the drug rehabilitation centers for over ten times after he had touched drugs because of his immense pain for the failure of his first love. It was when he met this girlfriend he finally made up his mind to be clean.

“Would you tell me what you feel most here?” I asked.

“Fully at ease! I’ve got a job and a family now. I'm not self-abased any more and I’m confident to a complete withdrawal,” He said, “and my sister who had broken connection to me contacted me after she got sick and that brought the dignity of being a man back to me. We plan to run a restaurant when we get enough savings and to well take care of our parents and family members.”

Besides Chen Xi, another worker named Xiang Zuhua, 28, also regained his self-assurance in this plant. After times of compulsory treatment, he came to Henghui through the project and now he is the head of the blanking workshop of the plant’s Sanjiang branch. He sent 5,000 Yuan to his family in the last spring festival for which his father made a special call to Liu Bo to verify the truth. His brother tended to accept him again after either years disconnection and came to meet him last December.
