In the NBC interview, Cook argued that the reason that Apple doesn't manufacture everything in the U.S. lies in not the higher cost, but the country's lack of enough people with skills needed for modern manufacturing processes.
"It's not so much about price, it's about the skills," he stressed.
Cook didn't say which line of Mac computers or where these products will be manufactured in the States.
Cook also hinted in the NBC interview that Apple has big plans for consumer's living room, but not much was disclosed in this regard.
"When I go into my living room and turn on the TV, I feel like I have gone backwards in time by 20 to 30 years," Cook told Williams. "It's an area of intense interest. I can't say more than that."
