In his congratulatory message, former Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew said: "I am confident that under your able leadership, China will overcome these challenges, continue along its path of peaceful, and scale new heights."
"I wish you every success in your new responsibilities," said Lee.
Singapore's former Prime Minister and Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong said that China has made tremendous social and economic achievements over the past decades.
"As our countries develop, bilateral relations have grown from strength to strength. I am confident that the ties between our two countries will grow even closer in the years ahead," he said.
Sonia Gandhi, president of India's National Congress Party, said in her note that India and China share a strategic and cooperative partnership which has developed over many year through diligent efforts of the leaders of both political parties.
"I am confident that under our able leadership relations between our political parties, as well as between India and China, will continue to expand and grow," she said.
Chua Soi Lek, president of Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), said that under Xi's leadership, the CPC will continue to forge ahead and make outstanding achievements.
The MCA hopes that the CPC will make greater contributions to harmony and progress in China as well as in the world at large, he said.
Koh Tsu Koon, leader of the Malaysian People's Movement Party, said in a message that under Xi's leadership, China is sure to score greater achievements.
In his congratulatory message, Luis Ayala, secretary general of the Socialist International, said: "We look forward to constructive and fruitful relations with the CPC and China in facing crucial challenges that lie ahead, in working for a more peaceful and just world with cooperation, conflict resolution, protection of the environment and global financial system that benefits and provides opportunities for all."
Tom Curran, general secretary of Ireland's Fine Gael, expressed "best wishes" to Xi on his accession to the position of the CPC general secretary.
The Fine Gael party "looks forward with interest to viewing" China's advancement and is confident that Ireland-China ties will continue to strengthen, he said in a message.
Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba, chief of the Spanish Socialist Workers's Party (PSOE), said he is confident the PSOE and the CPC will continue to promote cooperation and dialogue so as to advance sustainable social development and progress of their respective countries.
Vladimir Voronin, president of Moldova's Party of Communists, said in his congratulatory message that he is confident the two brotherly parties will conduct fruitful cooperation in the future.
