China formally establishes first national parks (2)

China announced Tuesday its first batch of five national parks at the 15th Conference of the Parties (COP15) to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity.
The 27,000 sq-km Giant Panda National Park is home to 1,631 wild pandas and provides food to snow leopards.
