Waste gear, rusty iron sheets, discarded wine bottles... These common trash in our daily life are incomparably precious in the eyes of a Chinese man.
The man named Gu Guanglei, 32, is a teacher living in Changchun, the capital city of northeast China's Jilin province. In his spare time, he prefers to do recycling and create a series of art works of great visual impact using the wastes he has collected. His distinctive design makes these works of art unique and full of personality.
Gu often stays alone in his studio surrounded by a pile of discarded items and creates works of art all by himself. He said his works are environmental friendly. He has created more than 200 pieces of art works in 10 years, giving the common trash a new artistic life.
