Sichuan opera charms British children

Touring players from Chongqing Sichuan Opera House opened a workshop and staged a show at the museum on Saturday as one of the Spring Festival activities to welcome the Chinese New Year of the Monkey. The young museum visitors were wowed by lavish costumes, elaborate makeups, quick acrobatics of the opera, which is one of the renowned schools of the Chinese opera with a history of more than three hundred years.
