On the high-speed train G672 heading to Zhengzhou, passenger Li Xiang suddenly became short of breath and fell down of his seat. After conductors broadcast the incident, two men came to Li Xiang’s carriage. The older one soon confirmed Li was suffering from acute myocardial infarction.

The older man gave emergency treatments to Li Xiang and asked the other man to contact a hospital in Zhengzhou to get ready for taking in the patient. Around the noon, Li was sent to the Henan People's Hospital.

The older man accompanied Li Xiang in the whole process until he was sent to the operation room at around 12:20 p.m. An hour and a half later, Li Xiang's situation became stable. However, Li's wife could not find the older man who saved her husband's life as he had already left the hospital and flown to Zibo, where 27 other patients were waiting for him.

People at the scene did not recognize who this older man was. After photos showing him helping Li Xiang were posted online, people recognized the man – he is Hu Dayi, a famous cardiovascular specialist in China.
