(Pu'er Daily)--On August 3, 42 overseas Chinese teenagers from Vientiane, Laos got together with their camp teachers at Pu'er Minzu High School (PMHS) for the opening ceremony of "Embrace China · Chinese Bridge" Summer Camp Pu'er.

Nie expected that this event will make overseas Chinese teenagers feel fine Chinese culture in closer range, witness the dramatic changes of their motherland in reforms and experience the customs and practices of their hometown, will enhance their feelings for Yunnan and Pu'er, and make them diligent learners and passionate disseminators of Chinese culture, active promoters of exchanges and cooperation between Yunnan and the world, and a bridge linking Yunnan to the world.
Wang Yanqi spoke on behalf of the campers, saying she was happy and excited to be here in Pu'er and China for the first time, and felt the greatness and friendliness of the Chinese nation. She thanked Chinese organizations at all levels for giving them a precious opportunity to return to the place where their ancestry lived for root seeking and learning. She pledged to comply with camp regulations, study hard, inherit and carry forward the fine and brilliant culture of the Chinese nation, and become a disseminator of Chinese culture after returning to Laos.
