BEIJING, Dec. 15 -- Three local government officials suspected of bribery are under investigation, the Supreme People's Procuratorate said in a statement on Monday.
Li Jianyong, member of the board of an energy power generation investment company in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is suspected of offering bribes.
Du Wei, former vice director of the administration committee of south China's Hainan International Tourism Island Pilot Zone, and Liu Youxin, former deputy manager of Shaanxi Diesel Engine Heavy Industry Co., Ltd in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, are suspected of accepting bribes.
The three have been placed under "coercive measures," and the cases are under procedure.
According to China's criminal procedure law, coercive measures include summons by force, bail, house arrest, detention and arrest.
