Li, a businessman from Beijing, visited Tibet in 2012 and came back many times since then. He wished to drive along the 318 national way from start to end next year. The year of 2014 marks the 60th anniversary of the opening of the Qinghai-Tibet highway. The highway, linking Xining, capital city of Qinghai province, and Lhasa, capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region, is a lifeline for Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
