Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board visits Shaanxi

On August 22, Ms. Huang Yanyan, Chairman of the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board and former Malaysia Tourism Minister, arrived in Shaanxi Province and paid a visit to the provincial Tourism Administration of Shaanxi. This was the first time that any ministerial tourism official from Malaysia had ever visited Shaanxi Province.

Director Yang Zhongwu of the Tourism Administration met with Ms. Huang and her entourage. Ms. Huang showed strong interests in the China Xi'an Silk Road International Tourism Expo 2014, saying that she would attend the event with a team. She also said that she had planned to invite people from the tourism industry of Shaanxi to visit Malaysia within the year. Both sides signed several letters of intent on potential cooperation projects during the visit.
