Solving issues needs to follow some basic rules, for example, respecting each other's core interest and correctly treating power transfer; the latter is especial a test for the United States which has dominated Asia-Pacific region for decades. The United States now still maintains the largest military presence in the region and there are some countries hoping to balance China's rise through the U.S. power. Therefore, there is possibility that the United States making use of contradictions between China and other countries to consolidate its leading position.

The United States needs to be aware of its hegemonic impulse. Especially in the face of complex "chess game", it should not choose whatever is easier to do; what it needs are moves of wisdom.

China, as a new power, needs more confidence to get along with the United States in the future. In particular, it needs to use wisdom of Chinese people on key issues. China should expand its influence through providing solutions, to enhance its authority through taking its responsibility and gradually grasp the initiative during the transformation process.

The Pacific has enough space for China and the United States. The two powers will gradually find their own accurate position and jointly promote global peace and development. They will write a great chapter in the world history, and the process will be full of wisdom.
