BEIJING, April 10 (Xinhua) -- Senior Chinese and Australian diplomats met here on Wednesday to discuss bilateral ties.
During the meeting with Australian Foreign Minister Bob Carr, Wang Jiarui, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee exchanged views with him on bilateral relations and the Korean peninsular situation.
In another meeting, Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi expressed China's willingness to work with Australia to implement the agreements between the two countries' leaders for closer bilateral ties.
