Putin: Russia-China relations globally significant

Russian President Vladimir Putin says the strategic partnership between Russia and China is not only a bilateral one, but also has global significance. Putin made the remarks during an interview with the Itar-Tass News Agency ahead of Chinese President Xi Jinping's official state visit to the country.

Putin also says bilateral relations between Russia and China are a comprehensive and genuine partnership. He adds that the two countries need to support each other on issues of core interests, and build a highly trustworthy relationship.
