SHIJIAZHUANG, July 11 (Xinhuanet) – A voluntary taxi team in Langfang City, north China's Hebei Provice, has been providing free service for citizens in need for six years.

Zhang Guoqing, head of the "Warm Heart" taxi team, said it will continue to provide public services.

Since its foundation in 2007, the team has been trying to help disabled persons, elders and children. Now with a number of 60 taxi drivers, the team not only provides newcomers with free traffic reports but also donates to needy schools.

"We are proud to be taxi drivers, always smiling with hopes." This is the song of "Warm Heart" taxi drivers, and Zhang Guoqing considers it as the guideline for their voluntary behavior.

When a taxi driver returned a purse with thousands of dollars left by an American visitor during China Langfang International Economic & Trade Fair last May, Meng Zhimeng, chief of Langfang Taxi Administrative Office, was greatly moved and said that "Warm Heart" had helped boost the city's international image.

"When we help others, we also feel happy," Zhang said. Smiling faces of citizens made them feel like spiritual nobles, and they would continue to serve people with love and passion.

Last year, Hebei Province launched a campaign named "Sowing love in Hebei", aiming at fostering values of mutual trust, honesty, filial piety, and dedication. "Warm Heart" taxi team set a good example in this campaign and it helped Langfang City grow better and better, said Meng Zhimeng.
