GUIYANG, April 14 (Xinhua) -- Three people were confirmed dead and seven others injured in a building collapse on Saturday in southwest China's Guizhou Province, local authorities said on Sunday.
The accident occurred around 6 p.m. in a brewery in Er'he Township of Renhuai City when a retaining wall of a workshop under construction collapsed, according to a statement issued by the local government.
Rescue work ended on early Sunday, the statement said.
Preliminary investigation showed that the accident was caused by continuous rainfall in the past days. Further investigation is underway.
