NANNING, March 30 (Xinhua) -- A child was killed and another six passers-by injured after a truck overturned on Friday in Hepu County of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, said local sources on Saturday.
Around noon on Friday, a truck loaded with 30 tonnes of gravel overturned on a railway section nearby Xinliao Village, burying two children playing nearby and two passing vehicles, according to the county government.
One child was confirmed dead after being pulled out from the massive amount of gravel. Six injured people, including one child, are receiving medical treatment in a local hospital.
The truck driver has surrendered to local police.
Investigation into the incident is under way.
