One dead, three trapped after scaffold broken in east China

NANCHANG, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- More than 140 rescuers are still searching for three workers who have been trapped in debris after a scaffold collapsed at a construction site in Dexing City, east China's Jiangxi Province, Wednesday night.

There were 11 workers working at the construction site of a convention center when the accident happened at around 9 p.m..

Rescuers have brought out eight of them. However, one of the rescued died after medical treatment failed. The other seven included one seriously injured and six slightly injured.
