BEIJING, August 30 (ChinaMil) --Ms. Margaret, director of African Zone under the Department of Peacekeeping Operation of the United Nations, inspected the 11th Chinese peacekeeping force to the Republic of South Sudan on August 29, 2013, local time.
Accompanied by Li Qingfeng, director of the headquarters of the Chinese peacekeeping engineer force, and Yu Zigang, political commissar of the headquarters, Ms. Margaret and her party first visited mechanized equipment of the Chinese peacekeeping force.
Coordination officer Winibabihujia told Ms. Margaret that the well-equipped Chinese peacekeeping force has successfully wrapped up all the engineering support tasks entrusted by the UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) by assisting the mission in improving barrack facilities and building airport and helping local government and people build roads and level ground.
"The Chinese peacekeeping force is a competent unit with fine work-style which has made fruitful contribution to a peaceful South Sudan. Your work has not only reflected the mission's responsibilities, but also extended its influence in South Sudan," said Ms. Margaret.
