The first traffic emergency rescue and support base of the Chinese military constructed by the transportation forces under the Chinese People's Armed Police Force (APF) was started to construct in Yanqing, Beijing, capital of China on the morning of April 12, 2013.
It is learnt that the base with an area of 330 mu is composed of 7 full-featured buildings including the emergency operation command center, the training centre, the support centre ann so on. It can accommodate 1000-odd officers and men.
After completion of the base, it will greatly improve transportation forces' capability on such aspects as rapid reaction, vertical command and efficient disposal; meet the emergency rescue needs in such fields as major transportation hubs, strategic areas and natural disaster-prone areas. Therefore, it is of great importance to accomplish the emergency rescue mission in North China area with Beijing on the top of its mission list.
