The 15th Chinese peacekeeping engineer detachment to Congo (K) received combat readiness verification by a team of the United Nations on February 26, 2013, Congo (K) Eastern Time. The team members saw all the items passing the verification at a serviceability rate of 100 percent.

Upon the UN verification team’s arriving at the camp of the Chinese peacekeeping engineer detachment, the officer responsible for combat readiness verification immediately issued an order of emergency action. Later, the UN verification team watched the demonstration of military subjects, listened to the work report of the detachment and verified 17,000 items of materials and equipment in 15 categories, such as engineering machinery, minesweeping fittings, weapons and ammunition, water purification and medical equipment, and all the items passed the verification at a serviceability rate of 100 percent.
