BEIJING, June 28 (Xinhua) -- China's top legislature reviewed the outcomes of deliberations on bills and drafts tabled for readings at the ongoing legislature session.
The deliberation results were reported at a meeting of the chairman and vice chairpersons of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) on Friday. The meeting was presided over by Chairman Zhang Dejiang.
The meeting heard the report on revision suggestions regarding the draft law on the safety of special equipment, which includes elevators, boilers, cranes and large recreation facilities.
It also heard the report on deliberation results on draft amendments to 12 other laws, including the law on the protection of cultural relics.
Also reported at the meeting were deliberation results for two agreements regarding the procedures for organizing and conducting joint counter-terrorism exercises with Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states.
Deliberation results regarding the report on the implementation of the central budget for 2012 and an auditing work report on other fiscal revenue and expenditures for 2012 were also reviewed.
Before being put to a vote, all of the bills and drafts will undergo further deliberation and revisions based on the opinions of NPC Standing Committee members.
The bi-monthly session is scheduled to run from June 26 to 29.
