TIANJIN, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- Huang Xingguo was re-elected mayor of north China's Tianjin Municipality on Thursday at the close of a session of the municipal legislature.
Huang, born in 1954, has been mayor of Tianjin since January 2008. He is a native of Xiangshan in east China's Zhejiang Province.
The port city of Tianjin is one of the four municipalities, also including Beijing, Shanghai and Chongqing, that are under the central government. Its GDP reached 1.28 trillion yuan (about 205 billion U.S. dollars) in 2012, 2.5 times that of 2007.
