GUIYANG, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- Chen Min'er was elected governor of southwest China's Guizhou Province on Wednesday at the first session of the 12th provincial People's Congress, the local legislature.
Chen was born in the city of Zhuji in east China's Zhejiang Province in September 1960. He was appointed as the acting governor and vice governor of Guizhou on Dec. 28.
At the same session, Zhao Kezhi was elected chairman of the Standing Committee of the Guizhou Provincial People's Congress.
