Three years ago, the 47-year-old Wang Jin had not thought that he would become the director of the Program Production Center of China ACG Group Co., Ltd and therefore enter into animation industry, which is usually regarded as a creative industry of young people. Talking about the reason that he joined in this industry, Wang Jin simply answered that he likes reading comic books and watching cartoons since his childhood.
After graduating from university, with a degree of Bachelor in Radio, Wang experienced a lot on his career, including technician, publisher of audio-visual products, institution staff and also private entrepreneur. Although most of the jobs he has held before have more or less connected with culture industry, it was still a bittersweet challenge for Wang to be a part of such an emerging culture industry.
When he started working in various culture animations, he gradually found a great potential of animation industry in China. He believed, despite a relatively late development, the animation industry in China must have a bright future. "Chinese children need animation products with characteristics of Chinese culture, instead of merely Disney's masterpieces and Japanese cartoon," Wang said.
Even if the animation industry in China is considered promising, Wang Jin, as a pioneer and a leader in a creative industry, still has quite a bit of pressure. He must not only guarantee the creativity and quality of products, but also make good estimates about the market. Additionally, he should pay enough attention to advanced development of international animation industry and benefit from it.
The Program Production Center of China ACG Group Co., Ltd is in charge of producing and operating animation plays, and designing, developing and promoting animation.
