American football players in Chongqing

With the economic and social development, more and more young people in southwest China's Chongqing become familiar with American football. To wear protective gears, and take trainings and competitions like an American football player have become a choice for many youth in this city.

The Chongqing Dockers, an amateur American football team consisting of grassroots players, defeated Shanghai Warriors in the finals of China's first National Amateur American Football League (AFLC) and won the "Eternal Bowl" of the national championship on Jan. 12, 2014.
