BELGRADE, May, 1 (Xinhua) -- Former Chinese National football team Head Coach Bora Milutinovic said Wednesday that the Chinese football team needs to "dream, believe, have positive attitude".
Milutinovic, now in Asian Football Confederation Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia told Xinhua in a telephone interview that the Chinese team experienced "frequent changes of coaches, and as a result, they still did not find the right way"
But "This is not as complicated as it seems, if I may say," Milutinovic said. "You need to dream, believe, have positive attitude and enjoy the ride."
"China has not qualified for coming World Cup, and few weeks ago, has won against Iraq in last minutes of the match and now has a chance to qualify for the Asian Cup, where in 2011 also did not made any significant result. And everyone interprets this in their own way.
China has only once qualified for the World Cup in 2002, when Milutinovic was the head-coach, and for him, "these things are not easily explainable."
Milutinovic said that he believes the Chinese league should today dominate the Asia particularly as the Japan league is not as strong as it used to be because they can't bring in top players, which is also the same case in Korea."
